How Helping Hand Handbags Got Started

Every great accomplishment starts with the vision of one person, and it is in his or her hands to transform it into a reality. Entrepreneur Dominic Sabatino’s vision started years ago, and has come full circle with the advent of Helping Hand Handbags. Through the proceeds of Helping Hand Handbags, women are helping women become stronger, more independent, and self-resilient.

Each year, Shalom House hosts their largest fundraiser, the Signature Event to aid in raising funds to maintain its innovative programs temporary housing facility that enable women to transform their lives. While attending the 2010 Signature Event as a guest of his daughter Dominie Sabatino-Donat, Mr. Sabatino was introduced to the mission and people who have vowed to spend their days bettering the lives of vulnerable women. The mission, goals, and values of the program impacted Mr. Sabatino so greatly that it drove him to action. Not long after his initial introduction to Shalom House, Dominic approached his business partner and fellow entrepreneur, Damon Roberts, who embraced the vision of Helping Hand Handbags.

Helping Hand Handbags is the creation of an outlet for one woman to contribute and aid another is one simple way of contributing to a larger movement. It is a movement of women across the country and across the globe helping one another to strive for a better tomorrow.
