"The opportunities offered by your program and the wonderful people that work with you touch so many lives.  I personally feel my life has been enriched working with your staff and residents."

Get Involved

Shalom House relies on the generosity of our community to help fulfill its mission of stabilizing and rebuilding lives.  Some times people need help and that's why we're here, all 24 hours every day.  Shalom House is successful only because people have donated their strength and pooled all their efforts together to continue empowering lives.

How can you help?

If you want to meet the basic nutritional needs of our residents, consider bringing a meal and serving it to our 25 Emergency Shelter residents.  For more info. on being a Meal Provider, contact Rebecca Tucker, Americorps*VISTA Volunteer Coordinator at rebecca@shalomhousestl.org or 314.534.1010 ext. 16.

If you belong to a church or group and want to serve as a Shalom House ambassador to your organization, consider joining the Shalom House Auxiliary.

If you are not afraid to ask local businesses, friends, and others for donations, consider recruiting auction items for our annual Signature Event.

If you love fashion or are looking for the perfect gift, shop at Helping Hand Handbags and support Shalom House women through your purse and accessory purchases.

If you enjoy giving tangible needs, consider shopping for items off our Wish List.

If you buy groceries from Schnucks, use a Schnucks eScrip Card when you shop and Shalom House will receive up to 3% of the cost of your purchase.
